DEPOK, JUNE 19, 2026 – The Jakarta Chapter of the Indonesian Association of Islamic Economists (IAEI) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta sent an official delegation to actively participate in the major Regional Conference (Muswil) of the IAEI Greater Jakarta Regional Executive Board (DPW). The event was solemnly held in the Djoko Soetono Room, Dean’s Office Building of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at the University of Indonesia, Depok, on Friday (June 19).

The delegation from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta was led by Dr. Arief Fitrijanto, M.Si., accompanied by Dr. Ady Cahyadi, M.Si. The delegation’s presence represents a tangible commitment by UIN Jakarta academics to support the strengthening of organizational governance and the development of the Islamic economic ecosystem at the Greater Jakarta regional level.

At this highest-level regional forum, through a consensus-based deliberation process, all participants agreed to appoint Prof. Dr. M. Nur Rianto Al Arif, M.Si. (Professor at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta) as the new Chairperson of the Greater Jakarta Regional Chapter (DPW) of the IAEI. He succeeds Dr. Rahmatina Awaliah Kasri, the outgoing Regional Executive Board Chair, who completed her term of service with great distinction.

To establish a new, inclusive, and representative leadership structure, the Regional Congress also appointed a formation team consisting of Dr. Laily Dwi Ariyanti from Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) and Dr. Erika Takidah from Jakarta State University (UNJ).

Separately, the Chair of the IAEI UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Chapter, Dr. Sofyan Rizal, M.Si., expressed his deep appreciation and congratulations on the smooth and successful conduct of the Greater Jakarta DPW Regional Conference.

Nur Rianto Al Arif as Chair of the IAEI Greater Jakarta Regional Executive Board. We are optimistic that under his leadership, supported by a strong academic and organizational track record, he will be able to bring greater glory, progress, and synergy to the IAEI in the Greater Jakarta region,” said Dr. Sofyan Rizal.

The Regional Conference concluded with a joint commitment from all participating chapters to collaborate in support of the national strategic work program aimed at strengthening the Islamic economy and finance in Indonesia. (AC)
