East Ciputat, September 18, 2026. The Accounting Study Program has launched a series of Coaching Clinics for the Class of 2023 accounting students. This initiative aims to prepare seventh-semester students to conduct research for their final thesis projects. The Coaching Clinic is being held in the tiered theater room on the 5th floor of the Faculty of Economics and Business building on Jalan Ibn Taimiyah, Ciputat.

The second session of the Coaching Clinic began at 1:30 PM. It featured Abdul Hamid, SE., MBA., CPA., CA., Ak.—a full-time lecturer in the Accounting Study Program and an auditing practitioner—as the speaker. He explained that students must be able to identify and formulate a problem before commencing research related to auditing. Mr. Hamid provided examples of auditing research, such as studies on management audits and internal auditing. Auditing research encompasses both quantitative and qualitative approaches. He also emphasized that when exploring ideas, students should focus on research topics rather than just the title.

During the Q&A session, students discussed auditing topics such as "Audit Report Lag." Mr. Hamid stressed that the research must provide value to its readers. Topics like Audit Delay or Audit Report Lag focus not only on technical auditing aspects but also on a company's readiness to produce financial statements.

Mr. Hamid advised students to read extensively—consulting various journals and literature—before attempting to identify the specific problems they wish to examine in their accounting research. (akt)
