Master of Islamic Economics holds Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curriculum Review Workshop

Jakarta, Friday, May 2, 2025 – The Islamic Economics Masters Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curriculum Review Workshop. The activity, which was carried out in a hybrid manner, was opened by the Vice Dean for Curriculum, Dr. Sofyan Rizal, M.Si and started at 08.00 and ended at 16.00 WIB, attended by the heads of study programs, study program secretaries and lecturers, especially in the postgraduate program. This follow-up workshop presented the main speaker, a Lecturer at the FEB, Surabaya State University (Unesa), Dr. Ulil Hartono, SE., M.Si, who shared insights and technical guidelines in compiling and evaluating an OBE-based curriculum. On that occasion, Dr. Ulil emphasized the importance of alignment between graduate profiles, learning outcomes, and curriculum structures to produce graduates who are competent and relevant to the needs of the world of work, especially in the field of Islamic economics. “Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) must be simple & clear, according to level and measurable”, Dr. Ulil added in his presentation.
The activity, which was guided by the Head of the FEB Islamic Economics Masters Study Program, Dr. Nofrianto, M.Ag, also facilitated a discussion between the resource person and the lecturers and workshop participants, especially regarding the curriculum at the postgraduate level, the Islamic Banking Masters and the Islamic Banking Doctoral program. The discussion was interactive and constructive, reflecting the enthusiasm of the participants in strengthening the implementation of OBE in the FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta environment.
This workshop is part of the ongoing commitment of the FEB Postgraduate Program, especially the Islamic Economics Masters Study Program, in an effort to improve the quality of higher education based on national and international standards. It is hoped that the results of this activity can strengthen the academic foundation of the study program in compiling a curriculum that is adaptive, innovative, and oriented towards graduate learning outcomes.
