Promoting Education Funding, House of Representatives Member Sigit Purnomo Emphasizes the Importance of Collaboration in Islamic Education for a Progressive Indonesia
SOUTH TANGERANG, September 29, 2026 – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully hosted an educational funding outreach event featuring Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Sigit Purnomo, S.A.P., better known as Pasha Ungu. This lively event took place in the Theater Room on the 5th floor of the FEB Building, located on Ibnu Sina Street, at the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta campus on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Ali Munhanif, Ph.D. Also present at the opening were the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Prof. Dr. Ibnu Qizam, M.Si., along with the vice deans and faculty members of the FEB.
In his presentation, Sigit Purnomo shared various strategic insights regarding educational funding opportunities and access that can be optimally utilized by students in need of financial support. His presence further underscored the strong commitment of the government and the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) to supporting the smooth progression of studies and the development of students’ academic and non-academic potential at higher education institutions.
Furthermore, the politician—who is also a public figure—emphasized the importance of synergy and collaboration in the realm of Islamic education. “Collaboration in Islamic education is crucial and must be sustained to achieve a progressive Indonesia,” said Sigit Purnomo before hundreds of participants who packed the room.
This outreach event was highly interactive, with students enthusiastically asking various questions about funding policies and the future of higher education.
