Strengthening Global Synergies: FEB UIN Jakarta Delegation Visits MÜSİAD Sakarya, Türkiye
SAKARYA, TÜRKIYE (OCTOBER 28, 2026) – As part of the International Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program held from October 25 to 31, 2026, a delegation from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta paid an official visit to the Sakarya branch of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD) in Sakarya, Türkiye.
The delegation comprised 18 delegates, consisting of 10 selected students spanning Undergraduate (S1), Master's (S2), and Doctoral (S3) programs, alongside 8 faculty members from FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The visit aimed to strengthen academic-industry linkages, explore strategic economic partnerships, and gain direct insights into the practical ecosystem of Islamic trade and industry in Türkiye.
MÜSİAD (Müstakil Sanayici ve İşadamları Derneği), established in Istanbul on May 9, 1990, stands as Türkiye’s largest independent association of industrialists and entrepreneurs. As a formidable global network, MÜSİAD unites over 14,000 members who collectively employ approximately 2 million people. Its expansive footprint spans 78 regions across Türkiye and 100 representative offices in 84 countries worldwide, including a dedicated representation in Indonesia.
During the meeting, the leadership of MÜSİAD Sakarya welcomed the FEB UIN Jakarta delegation, presenting an overview of their strategic initiatives in strengthening local and international business networks, fostering halal trade ecosystems, and driving sustainable industrial growth across the region.
The Dean of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Ibnu Qizam, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA, highlighted that connecting academic institutions with global industrial leaders like MÜSİAD is vital to developing resilient graduates and impactful research.
"This visit to MÜSİAD Sakarya provides invaluable exposure for both our faculty members and students. It bridges the gap between theoretical frameworks in Islamic economics and real-world industrial practice, opening avenues for future collaboration in joint research, student internships, and international trade development between Indonesia and Türkiye," stated Prof. Ibnu Qizam.
Through this international MBKM initiative, FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta continues to solidify its role as a premier Islamic higher education institution dedicated to empowering scholars and students with strong global competitiveness and industry alignment. (AC)
