Ciputat - Wednesday, June 11, 2026 at the Harun Nasution Auditorium of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang, Ir. H. Pilar Saga Ichsan, ST, M.Ars opened the Sharia Economics Week organized by the Lingkar Studi Ekonomi Syariah (LISENSI) FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The event which was held in the series of 23rd Anniversary of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta was attended by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ali Munhanif, PhD Vice Dean for Academic Affairs FEB Dr. Sofyan Rizal, M.Si Vice Dean for Student Affairs Dr. Asyari Hasan, MA, lecturers and students of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

Along with the Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang, Dr. H. Mamat Selamet Burhanudin, M.Ag from the Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH), Budi Rahman from the Banten Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK), and Professor of Sharia Economics Prof. Dr. Nur Hidayah, MA., PhD were also present. On the occasion, the Deputy Mayor expressed his great support for the growth of the Islamic economy in Indonesia, especially in South Tangerang City. "Sharia economy has become the color of our country's economy, South Tangerang City encourages the growth of the sharia economy, organizing halal certification for MSMEs. Not only that, the City Government is also developing a green economy by utilizing environmentally friendly waste management," said the Deputy Mayor who is familiarly called Bang Pilar.

At the end of his speech, Pilar Saga hopes that the active role of the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta campus will encourage the growth of the sharia economy in South Tangerang City by collaborating to hold a similar event at the South Tangerang City Hall. (AC)
