JAKARTA, September 22, 2026 – In an effort to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world practice in the professional world, the Development Economics Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta organized a company visit to Bank Indonesia (BI) on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
This educational activity was attended by 100 students from the Development Economics Study Program across various cohorts, including students in their 1st, 3rd, and 5th semesters, under the coordination of the Study Program Student Association (HMPS). The group of students was accompanied by the Secretary of the Development Economics Program, Dr. Rr. Tini Anggraeni, M.Si., as well as Development Economics lecturer Peni Chalid, Ph.D.

This visit was specifically designed to enable students to deepen their understanding of Bank Indonesia’s strategic role as the central bank and guardian of national economic stability. Through a series of presentations, students gained an in-depth understanding of monetary policy, payment systems, and financial system stability as managed by Bank Indonesia.
The Head of the Development Economics Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Jakarta, Dr. Rr. Tini Anggraeni, M.Si., stated that this visit is an important activity integrated into the program’s curriculum.

“This company visit to Bank Indonesia is part of the program’s activities aimed at producing graduates who understand the principles, theories, and operations of the central bank in Indonesia,” said Tini on the sidelines of the event.
The visit took place in a dynamic and enthusiastic atmosphere. The event was designed to be interactive and included quiz sessions and Q&A sessions on current economic issues, which the students actively participated in.

This series of company visit activities officially concluded with the presentation of souvenirs from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta to representatives of Bank Indonesia, and ended with a group photo session to document the event and strengthen institutional cooperation.

Through this event, the Development Economics Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Jakarta, hopes that students will be able to apply the knowledge gained in their courses and be prepared to face global challenges in the economic and banking sectors of the future. (AC)
